Do higher tiers include lower ones?+
Yes, it's one ladder. Mastery ($49.99) includes Applied AI and Systems; Applied AI ($29.99) includes Systems. You only ever need one subscription.
Do the labs need API keys?+
No. Every lab and code exercise runs real, deterministic engines in your browser, CPython, the TypeScript compiler, and a real JVM, all via WebAssembly. The only model call is the AI tutor (Tier 2+), which is included.
